In politics, President Bola Tinubu strengthened diplomatic and economic ties with the UAE, expanding cooperation in sectors such as banking, agriculture, AI, energy, and infrastructure following the CEPA trade agreement.

On security, authorities successfully rescued children and teachers kidnapped in Oriire, Oyo State, after 56 days in captivity through a joint military operation.
